Community Pride:

Every day I read the Daily Times and there are articles about crime in Upper Darby.  I very rarely read  articles that brag about our town.

As a member of Township Council, I will lead the efforts in restoring our sense of community pride.

Here are some ways that I would help restore

the township’s sense of community pride:

I will propose a Memorial Day Parade.  Let’s honor our veterans and line the streets waving to them as they march by.

I will create an annual Emergency Responder’s Day.  Our police, fire, medical and private sector emergency response vehicles will be on display for our children.  We could take photos of our children behind the wheel of an ambulance or a police car.

I will create an annual Big Truck Day.  Let’s get some construction equipment on display for our children to sit in.  We could take photos of our kids behind the wheel of a bulldozer.

I will propose a Movie Night for our neighborhoods.  Let’s sit out on a blanket and watch a family movie projected on a big screen with our neighbors. 

I will create an annual Children’s Bicycle Parade.  Our children can decorate their bikes and then parade them down Burmont Rd.
